Cum se aprinde tămâia? Pentru aprinderea tămâiei se foloseşte un cărbune special, prezentat sub formă de praf sau pastile, care se aprinde uşor şi ţine mult. Acesta se poate procura de la mănăstiri sau biserici, iar în ultimul timp chiar de la magazine de obiecte bisericeşti. La ţară se folosesc de obicei, cărbuni aprinşi. Orice altă soluţie, cu multe beţe de chibrit sau cu vată îmbibată în spirt nu este recomandată şi nu este deloc eficientă. Aşa cum ne îngrijim de atâtea lucruri pentru nevoile noastre, mult mai puţin însemnate decât tămâierea casei, putem să ne îngrijim puţin şi de cele necesare rugăciunii şi sfinţirii casei noastre.
