How much aluminum do you think is hiding inside? And how much is it worth? Normally, I recycle copper, not aluminum. But lately, good copper scrap has become much harder to find. Copper prices are high, so people sell everything they have. When someone offered me this aluminum cable for only $15, I knew it was worth trying. What I didn't realize was how much time it would take. This cable is much harder to recycle than I expected. It really needs better tools to process efficiently. But there's one big advantage. Just one meter of this cable contains almost three pounds of clean aluminum. Right now, cable aluminum sells for about $2 per pound where I live. What's the price in your area?
